Michael Morgan Wine Services

Throughout my 30 years in the Wine Trade I have visited many cellars, both commercial and private, and spoken with hundreds of wine enthusiasts.

Wine lovers ask me to advise them on how to build up a collection of wines, how these wines should be stored, and their ideal drinking dates. I have also been asked to liquidate collections where wines are passing their ideal drinking times.

I have had enormous pleasure putting together collections from anything where the cellar is now valued well in excess of £1m to helping find one bottle of an important vintage for a particular celebration.

I have visited small underground London cellars and advised their owners on the best way to avoid excessive damp and temperature variation and country houses where the installation of climate controlled equipment and insulation in outhouses has made excellent wine storage facilities.

Wine is a living product – it ages in bottle and can deteriorate very rapidly if it is not stored in the correct conditions. Vintages vary, growers vary, drinking dates vary and to cap all the purchasing of wines can be a minefield.

I am very happy to help, advise and assemble cellars for the wine lover, and to annually up date them with the latest drinking dates and vintage reports.

Now which bottle shall I have tonight?
